Performs patient transport duties for all areas of UNC Health SE utilizing appropriate transport vehicle. Coordinates and schedules transport as needed between patient floor and areas ofUNC Health SEin order to facilitate patient care and multiple procedures. Monitors and coordinates with nursing regarding status of O2, IV, suction etc. as needed for appropriate and safe care during transport. Provides for patient comfort and safety during transport. Performs basic cleaning of wheelchairs and stretchers. Monitors O2 tanks and stocks as needed to ensure adequate supply for transport. Performs basic clerical functions such as filing and telephone answering. Responsibility to adhere to UNC Health SE rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
Minimum Required:
PREFERRED: NC Certified Nursing Assistant I or EMT Certification
