Inventory Counter

Atlantic Tire Distributors is currently seeking a full-time Inventory Counter to join our team in Edenton, NC! We are seeking a self-motivated Inventory Counter to join our team. This exciting opportunity offers the ability to join one of the most successful, respected, and growing companies in the tire industry. The inventory specialist is responsible for maintaining records of inventory within the warehouse. Able to research and troubleshoot both physically and systematically all inventory goods.

Schedule: 9pm-6am (Sunday-Thursday)

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Research the history of physical and systemic goods within the Warehouse.
• Operate motorized material handling equipment (Order Picker, Squeeze Truck) to safely move product.
• Perform cycle counts.
• Assist other personnel as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Locate missing tires and put away return product.
• Handle any damaged product and remove from warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of product flow and inventory within a distribution environment
• Experience with current software, methods, tools and equipment (including technology) used in distribution operations.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and communicate clearly
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of inventory experience, 1 year working directly in a distribution or warehouse environment

Education and Experience:

• Minimum High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work Sunday through Thursday 9pm-6am and occasionally on Saturdays.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The environment may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. As a result, minor workplace injuries are not uncommon, but employees usually can avoid serious accidents if safe practices are observed.
